Nepal Boasts Investment Potential at Conference: Chamber of Commerce President

Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), highlighted the importance of international investment during the opening ceremony of the third investment conference in Kathmandu.

Dhakal highlighted the importance of driving Nepal's economic growth by boosting revenue, generating employment opportunities, and promoting local manufacturing. The speaker emphasized the immense investment opportunities in Nepal, spanning sectors such as tourism, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and information technology.

"Nepal has the potential to attract new investments," stated Dhakal, speaking to a crowd of more than 2,000 investors. The speaker highlighted the country's advantageous position between two major economic powers, China and India, which offers great opportunities for both business and tourism.

Dhakal provided reassurance to investors about the positive investment climate in Nepal. He highlighted the FNCCI's ongoing initiatives to attract investment and foster a conducive business environment in Nepal.

Highlighting the recent long-term electricity trade agreement with India, Dhakal emphasized the opportunities for Nepal's abundant energy potential in the market. He encouraged investment in infrastructure development across tourism, agriculture, and information technology, highlighting Nepal's rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and youthful workforce.
